Run Like A Girl Releases!

RLAG case

Today is the day that RUN LIKE A GIRL releases and I want to encourage each of you to be looking for it in your local bookstore.

You will want a copy for yourself and every woman in your life.  I would love your feedback on Amazon or you may email directly  to me. Let me know what you think!

My Amazing niece, Jessica Sparks posted this piece on her site and I wanted to share it with you today!  She is only 16 years old!

Run Like a Girl

The sounds of my shoes scratching against the pavement
The wind in my hair
Leaving behind the noise, the complications, the fear
The sweat holding my hair to my face
My breaths erratic and my chest heaving
The numbing pain in my legs overpowering everything else
Competing with the burning in my chest
Not caring who sees me or what they think
All the world is behind me and I’m alone
Just running
Not knowing where or how long
Just running
Nothing else matters except how far I can go
How many miles, how many roads I can conquer before
Time finally catches up to me
Finally collapsing into the grass beside me
I can feel my heartbeat going off through my veins
I stare up into the sky, smiling, and get up to run again

Jessica’s poem is awesome! The running analogy is so mature from someone so young! Being a runner myself, I so appreciate her words.

  7. hi Kathy, I am reading your book and i think it’s nice. How do u find faith when things are rough going? I find it a challenge to be positive when there’re problems, so i have turned cynical. Occasionally i can be happy but someone may ruin it.

  8. I just want to add my 2 pennies in on this article to say hi. Oh and also to cheer on PORTUGAL for WORLD CUP 2010!! GO PORTUGAL!!
